DTN COMMENTS:  Formula totals for last week: KS 70,968(-1,986), NE 48,782
(-6,955), TX 66,811(+10,721). Total trade volume:  KS 74,729(-5,504), NE 
68,613(-13,768), TX 68,537(+9,593). New showlists appear to be mixed, lower in 
Texas and Nebraska/Colorado, but higher in Kansas. Bids and asking prices have 
yet to be established, and significant trade volume will likely be delayed 
until the second half of the week.

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (Choice 401.95 +4.03, Select 394.81 +3.27), 
with light box movement (21.09 lds of choice cuts, 3.29 lds of select cuts, 
0.00 lds of trim, and 7.88 lds of ground). Near the top of the noon hour live 
cattle futures are sharply higher, while feeder contracts are significantly 
higher.
